A&G Contracting started out of necessity. Austin, a former wildland firefighter, has been fixing things since he was a kid. Upon purchasing his first home in Red Feather Lakes, CO. He quickly became the guy his neighbors would call for home repairs. When he wasn’t in the field working as a wildland firefighter; building and fixing things on the spot, he was home helping his community around their homes. It became evident that his neighbors had been taken for some rides. Contractors not showing up, price gouging, and change orders that just didn’t make sense.

When an injury on the job forced him into early retirement he understood in new ways the vulnerability folks felt when they needed to trust an expert. Upon healing from his injuries, he wanted to continue to help his community in a way that would make a difference in their lives. Your home is your home expensive asset. Austin spent years of his life protecting them from danger, so it made logical sense to combine his passions and keep that spirit alive. That’s when he approached his long time friend and confidant, Gabe.

Gabe, a former EMT, is the guy who stays calm no matter the circumstances. He’s used to being the guy folks call at their worst moment. He and Austin had taken oaths to protect and serve their community, so it made logical sense for them to team up and found A&G Contracting.

Gabe is also a homeowner who longed for a contractor that would give it to him straight, not exaggerate their skills or provide unrealistic timelines. He too understood what it was like to hire folks who just didn’t value the people behind the project.
